It has been over a week since I got back from my trip to Yellowstone. I was trying to think of how long it has been since the last venture there and I believe it has been over 10 years. Way too long! Yellowstone has such beauty and magnificance that one should always venture back as much as they can. I plan on going back for the fishing several times this year and bought my year lisence for the motivation. So look for future blogs and reports from the park later on.
While I was in the park I saw lots of wildlife. A grizzly with two cubs the first day was amazing! We saw a lot of buffalo, elk, more grizzlies, a black wolf (a black spec in some Texas guy’s $5000 scope), and a black bear. I was surprised at the fact we only saw a couple deer. It’s not that I have not seen probably several hundred thousand in my lifetime already, it was just odd. It was fun to get out and do the touristy thing. I walked the geyser trails and saw many of them blow! Getting up at 5 AM every morning gives one a great alone expierence with these awesome experiences.
The Fishing on the other hand was a little non existant. Time was not really on our sides and river levels were not up to par either. I did wet a line for a few minutes, but did not give it too much of an effort. I did however fish with the bison. I look forward to the fall everywhere I fish this year.
Overall a great trip to remember and had a great time!
